Masseeka’s updated menu

Updated: Jul 7
Lactating kitty needs 2-3 times more calories than usual. Kitten food works great because it is richer in protein, fat and all the nutrients a nursing mom burns through like a tiny milk‑producing factory.
We also bought kitten formula, thinking we might need it for the smallest baby. Turns out the kitten didn’t need it - but Masseeka absolutely does! She slurps it like it’s her personal Starbucks latte. And honestly, it is good for lactating cats… just not every cat likes the taste. Masseeka clearly does. Mixing wet kitten food with a little formula and water works best so far — but that’s just her personal preference. Every queen has her own culinary standards, and Masseeka’s are apparently “soup, but make it gourmet.”

We also give her some kitten dry food, since she’s a kibble enjoyer by nature and keeps stealing pieces from Ryzyk’s bowl whenever we let her out to stretch her legs while the babies sleep off their milk coma.
Regular wet food and kibbles are also on the menu for variety because even a hardworking milk bar owner deserves options.
