Purring
We now have just two boys left for adoption - their sister and two brothers have already found wonderful new families. Jeeves and Cowboy are fantastic young cats: sweet, playful, and constantly competing to see who can purr louder. You be the judge. Cowboy is a little more tolerant of the belly‑up cuddle position, while Jeeves prefers to keep all four paws planted on your lap. Both are gentle and have learned not to scratch, even when they wiggle out of human snuggles to jump

Grooming
Cowboy vs. Jeeves: two boys, two styles.

Slow progress
We let those two meet under our supervision. Ryzyk is comfortable enough to wander around the house, check Baker’s bowl, and recline in the big bedroom. The problem is that Baker stays home more now - it rained for several days, the temperature dropped, and being outside all day just isn’t as fun. So occasionally they end up meeting. This was their first close interaction, a few days ago. It’s happened twice since, with pretty much the same scenario. They just “talk” but don’

Churu trick
Ryzyk does that on other occasions too, like when he’s looking out the window. But always for Churu - full meerkat mode!

Zorro at his new home
He’s clearly vibing with his new family - look how happy he is. Cats only drift into deep sleep when they feel truly safe, even as kittens. When they don’t, they stay half‑awake and choose positions that let them bolt if needed. This dude? Fully melted. The way he sleeps now shows he feels protected and comfortable.

Kitty Basketball
Cowboy and Triss love this game and show off some impressive jumping skills. The twin brothers are more into chasing and grappling, so they mostly experimented with different approaches.

Meeting the Lion
Triss staged multiple prison breaks today, each one more dramatic than the last. After the third escape, we decided, “Fine. Go meet Baker. Let natural consequences parent you.” The moment she saw him, both instantly transformed into discount Halloween decorations - backs arched, tails puffed, fur standing straight up like they’d stuck their paws in an outlet. Baker hissed. Triss froze. For a second it was unclear who was the predator and who was the intern on their first day.

Zorro is adopted!
Our chubby little BJJ champion has gone to an awesome, loving family. Be good, tiny warrior - though I know you will be, you sweet chunky boy. He is the one on the left here:

Awesome submissions
Zorro and Jeeves practiced kitty BJJ, mama Masseeka and Cowboy watched as referees (Cowboy prefers kitty basketball). Meanwhile Triss tried to decide whether she likes the taste of a bag with… well… you know what. No worries, she didn’t try to tear it. We’re still deciding on a name for Jeeves’ twin brother.

Food update
We tested several kitten food brands, as you probably remember. Every kitten and Masseeka ended up obsessed with Petco’s Whole Hearted pate. We mince it with a splash of water, and it’s perfect. The other versions (minced, morsels, etc.) are basically the same thing but watered down with broth, so there’s no point choosing them when you can just get the dense pate and adjust the texture yourself. We also give them small amounts of dry Purina Fancy Feast Kitten — mostly as a w

Paw(s)
Not sure who's paws were touching the camera, Jeeves for sure, but they all were like "Hey, put that down and pet us instead!" You probably noticed names. Yeah, number 2 is Zorro, number 1 is Cowboy, Tiger Grey (on this photo) is Jeeves, his twin brother... hmm, not sure yet, and calico girl is Triss.

Everyone is doing great, everyone learned to purr when picked up. Their characters are all pretty different. Number One is an active explorer who sleeps in the weirdest positions and loves playing with humans. He jumps on mom's back while she cleans their litterboxes and plays with the strings on my pants. Number Two is a fat fluffy philosopher who doesn't purr loudly, but enjoys being petted and likes belly rubs while lying on his back on my lap. Tiger Grey is the fastest, m

Second Floor Playtime
They decided to stay on the "top floor" while the monster (the vacuum) was doing it's job. They do not afraid of it, but it's annoying.

Here is the update: Everyone grows normally with no plateaus. Everyone is active, eats well, and causes as much mischief as they should. 12–14 weeks is an ideal adoption age. They’re still young enough to bring all the joy and silliness that kittens should, but they’ve already learned the basics, including how to control those tiny claws (huge difference compared to weeks 8 -10)!

Bonding with mom?
I’m not really sure why they all suddenly decided to do it. They had lunch, and it’s not like they were super hungry - they calmly went back to their bowls after quick face‑washing breaks until everything was gone. Then one little troublemaker (tiger grey, who else) went to mom, and while she was cleaning his face, he decided to have a “dessert.” The others noticed and were like “Hey, that’s a great idea!” Everyone was purring, and Masseeka didn’t move away, so it clearly was

The King's Speech
It's always like that. If he reclines on the deck and you call for him, he will chirp back. Do not disturb! Yes, he is limping a little bit in this video. We checked him - no wounds, no scratch marks, no battle scars. He probably just pulled a muscle while jumping. He was fine two days later.

Surprise!
We thought they were done with milk almost a month ago. Nope. Funny, Masseeka's belly doesn't even look or feel like she produces any milk any more.
